Watch Video About Medal of Valor »		7/29/2008 Today Governor Schwarzenegger joined Governors Kulongoski from Oregon and Gregoire from Washington State to release an Action Plan for the West Coast states of California, Oregon and Washington. They're working together on dealing with water quality, opposing offshore oil and gas development and dealing with invasive species that have invaded our estuaries and affected our economy. Responding to the Governor's call to find solutions that benefit both the environment and the economy, we have teamed up with the California Farm Bureau Federation on a proposal that addresses pesticide container recycling. It helps farmers safely dispose of recyclable materials in a way that also benefits the environment by taking them out of the waste stream. We were just thrilled with the visit of Governor Schwarzenegger to the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista. The Olympics has three U.S. training centers, one of which is in California and part of what we've done at the Center is to create a partnership with schoolchildren, community, and the Olympic athletes. After the briefing we're going to overfly some of the fires in the Redding area, also the National Guard base where we have the helicopters that have been fighting the fires in this area, and take a look at the Martin Mars on Shasta Lake.
