Gov. Schwarzenegger Issues Statement on New Senate President Pro Tempore

Schwarzenegger today issued the following statement regarding Senator Darrell
Steinberg (D-Sacramento) being selected as the next state Senate president pro
tempore:
"Senator Steinberg is a dedicated
public servant and a true champion of the people of California. He will be a
great leader and I look forward to continuing to work with him on the many
issues facing our state including the budget, water infrastructure and health
care reform. I thank Senator Perata for his service in this position for the
past three years."
