Governor Schwarzenegger Issues Proclamation for 12th Senate District Special Election
Governor Schwarzenegger issued the following proclamation today, declaring June 3, 2008 the date for a special election in California's 12th Senate District:
SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
I, ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, Governor of the State of
California, do
hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held within the 12th
Senate District on the 3rd day of June 2008, to determine whether Jeff Denham,
Senator for said district, shall be recalled, and if the majority vote on the
question is to recall, to elect a successor. IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and
caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 1st day of
April 2008.
