Text of the proclamation: SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATIONBY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 3rd day of May, 2011, within the 4th Assembly District of the State to fill the vacancy of the office of Assembly Member from that district resulting from the resignation of Assembly Member Ted Gaines.
