Governor Brown Issues Proclamation Declaring Special Election for 4th Assembly District

Governor Jerry Brown today issued a proclamation declaring a special election for the 4th Assembly District of California on May 3, 2011.

SPECIAL ELECTION PROCLAMATION
BY THE GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA

I, EDMUND G. BROWN JR., Governor of the State of California, do hereby proclaim and order that a special election shall be held on the 3rd day of May, 2011, within the 4th Assembly District of the State to fill the vacancy of the office of Assembly Member from that district resulting from the resignation of Assembly Member Ted Gaines.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of California to be affixed this 11th day of January 2011.
