Governor Brown to Highlight Climate Leadership Across U.S. Society with Michael Bloomberg, Announce New Commitments with U.S. Climate Alliance Governors as Summit Kicks Off Tomorrow

SAN FRANCISCO – On the first full day of the Global Climate Action Summit tomorrow, Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. and fellow Summit co-chair and America’s Pledge co-founder Michael Bloomberg will discuss key findings from the America’s Pledge Phase II Report – “Fulfilling America’s Pledge: How States, Cities, and Businesses Are Leading the United States to a Low-Carbon Future”– which quantifies the climate action taken by cities, states and businesses to measure the progress made by non-federal action toward the U.S. target under the Paris Agreement.

Governor Brown will later join fellow U.S. Climate Alliance Governors from across the country at a press conference to announce a range of new climate and clean energy commitments by member states as part of the bipartisan coalition of 17 governors committed to achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.
