Governor Brown Appoints Carrie McIntyre Panetta to Monterey County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Carrie McIntyre Panetta to a judgeship in the Monterey County Superior Court.

Panetta, 46, of Oakland, has been a criminal executive judge at the Alameda County Superior Court since 2011, where she has served as a superior court judge since 2007. She served as a deputy district attorney at the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office from 1999 to 2007 and was an associate at Brobeck Phleger and Harrison LLP from 1992 to 1999. Panetta earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Dakota. She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Terrance R. Duncan. Panetta is a Democrat.

The compensation for this position is $178,789.
