Governor Brown to Attend Tribal Leaders Forum Tomorrow


SACRAMENTO Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will mark Native American Day tomorrow by joining his Tribal Advisor and over 100 delegates representing more than 50 California tribes at a Tribal Leaders Forum at the State Capitol.

Following the forum, a public celebration commemorating Native American day will be held on the South Steps, where tribal flags from 40 California tribes will be flown.

Last week, Governor Brown issued a proclamation declaring September 27, 2013, as Native American Day in the State of California.
