Governor Brown Appoints Jeffrey R. Finigan to San Mateo County Superior Court

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today announced the appointment of Jeffrey R. Finigan to a judgeship in the San Mateo County Superior Court.

Finigan, 47, of San Francisco, has served as a deputy district attorney at the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office since 2012. He served as investigative counsel at the Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program from 2011 to 2012 and as an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of California from 2004 to 2011. Finigan was a senior associate at Allen, Matkins, Leck, Gamble and Mallory LLP from 2000 to 2004 and served as a deputy district attorney at the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office from 1994 to 1999. He earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of San Francisco School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Davis. He fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Stephen M. Hall. Finigan is registered without party preference.

The compensation for this position is $184, 610.
