Governor Newsom to Join Emergency Officials and Announce New Executive Actions on Emergency Preparedness

COLFAX — In the wake of the deadliest and most destructive wildfire season in state history, Governor Gavin Newsom will travel to an area at high fire risk in the Sierra Foothills tomorrow, where he will join leaders from the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, CAL FIRE, California National Guard and the California Highway Patrol, as well as other emergency officials, to announce new executive actions which prioritize and accelerate the state government’s response to wildfires and other emergencies.

When: Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Where: CAL Fire Colfax Station, 24020 Fowler Ave, Colfax, CA 95713.

Who: Governor Gavin Newsom, Office of Emergency Services Director Mark Ghilarducci, CAL FIRE Chief Thom Porter, California Highway Patrol Commissioner Warren Stanley, and California National Guard Adjutant General David Baldwin, as well as other local and state officials.
