Governor Newsom to Visit Youth Correctional Facility in Stockton on Tuesday

STOCKTON — Governor Gavin Newsom will visit the O.H. Close Youth Correctional Facility in Stockton on Tuesday to tour the facility’s new computer coding and pre-apprentice construction labor programs, which help reduce recidivism.
 
Who: Governor Gavin Newsom, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Secretary Ralph Diaz, Division of Juvenile Justice Director Chuck Supple and Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs.
 
When: Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Reporters must arrive by 8:45 a.m. for check-in.
 
Where: O.H. Close Youth Correctional Facility, 7650 Newcastle Road, Stockton, CA 95215.
