EMERYVILLE – Days after signing the 2019-2020 California state budget that included historic investments to combat the housing and affordability crisis facing Californians, Governor Gavin Newsom will tour an under-construction affordable housing development in Emeryville.
Last week, the Governor and state legislative leaders announced they had come to agreement on an unprecedented package of incentives – both sticks and carrots – to jumpstart housing production and tackle the state’s housing crisis. The Senate overwhelmingly passed that legislation today, and the Assembly will vote on it Friday.
