TOMORROW: Governor Newsom to Receive DMV Strike Team Report, Announce New Leadership

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom will receive the findings of the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Strike Team tomorrow, which includes a comprehensive plan to reform the DMV and improve customer service.

In January, just days after taking office, Governor Newsom announced a DMV Reinvention Strike Team to be led by the Government Operations Agency to begin a comprehensive modernization and reinvention of DMV, and make recommendations for new long-term leadership and reform. The Strike Team had a special focus on transparency, worker performance, speed of service and overall consumer satisfaction.

The Governor will also announce a new leadership team for the DMV tomorrow.
