TOMORROW: Governor Newsom to Promote Two Years of Free Community College at Cosumnes River College

SACRAMENTO — This week, as young people return to California institutions of higher learning, Governor Gavin Newsom will be traveling the state to highlight that California will provide two free years of community college to any first-time, full-time California student. On his first stop, the Governor will visit a classroom at Cosumnes River College in Sacramento. The California state budget allocates $42 million in additional funding to assist an estimated 33,000 eligible students statewide.

Later this week, the Governor will visit a community college in Southern California to continue promoting the state’s new two years free community college initiative.
