SACRAMENTO — Governor Gavin Newsom will be joined by legislators and advocates to sign a series of bills aimed at preventing gun violence and strengthening gun safety regulations tomorrow in Sacramento.

The budget also secured long-term funding for the Firearm Violence Research Center at the University of California, Davis to circumvent NRA-backed federal limits on research.Governor Newsom has been one of the strongest voices in gun violence prevention for many years, spearheading the passage of Proposition 63 in 2016.
