Governor’s General Order 2020-01

This General Order is a supplement to Governor’s General Order Numbers 2019-01 and 2019-02, which are hereby adopted and incorporated herein in their entirety. I hereby further direct that the operational mission originally scheduled for completion on March 31, 2020 shall be extended to September 30, 2021.

This order applies to all service members of the California National Guard called by The Adjutant General in support of this mission. I issue this supplemental General Order under sections 146 and 365 of the California Military and Veterans Code and in accordance with Article V, section 7 of the California Constitution as the Commander-in-Chief of the California National Guard.

You shall continue in active service up to 100 service members who are trained and able to perform the following:

  • Provide timely intelligence research and analysis, as well as source acquisition, processing and dissemination of intelligence on Transnational Criminal Organizations, narcotics and pesticide smuggling operations, and the cross-border movement of illegal firearms;
  • Assist with Cargo Dock Support, Vehicle Control Officers, and secondary X-Ray searches on commercial trucks to interdict illegal narcotics, pesticides, and firearms smuggling;

This supplemental General Order will run concurrently with Governor’s General Order Numbers 2019-01 and 2019-02 and shall remain in effect until September 30, 2021 unless modified, rescinded, or further extended in writing.
