Tomorrow: California State Budget Briefing by Governor Newsom

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom will introduce his proposed state budget for fiscal year 2021-22 tomorrow in Sacramento.

The briefing will be streamed at the @CAgovernor Twitter page, California Governor Facebook page and the Governor’s YouTube page.

To adhere to public health and physical distancing requirements and guidelines, there will be a very limited number of spaces for credentialed Capitol media to attend the press conference in person. Please email govpressoffice@gov.ca.gov for more information on RSVP’ing by no later than 6:00 p.m. today, January 7.

Please note that we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate all requests for in-person attendance due to limited space and capacity restrictions.

In addition, there will be an opportunity for media not in attendance to participate in the question and answer portion through a dial-in phone option typically used during the Governor’s COVID-19 updates.

Location information will be provided upon confirmation.

To ask questions over the phone, credentialed media must RSVP to govpressoffice@gov.ca.gov and provide the names of all participating media members to receive dial-in information.
