TOMORROW: Governor Newsom to be Vaccinated Against COVID-19 in Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES COUNTY – As the state expands vaccine eligibility to Californians aged 50+, Governor Gavin Newsom will tomorrow receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and hold a media availability in Los Angeles County.

The Governor earlier this month announced that starting April 1, Californians aged 50+ are eligible to make an appointment to be vaccinated. Individuals 16+ will be eligible to make an appointment to be vaccinated starting on April 15.

WHEN: Thursday, April 1, 2021. The Governor will be vaccinated at approx. 9:20 a.m. The livestream of the media availability will begin at approx. 9:45 a.m.

**NOTE: Due to space restrictions and to adhere to physical distancing requirements, there will be a limited number of spaces for credentialed media to attend the indoor event.

On-site protocols include a mandatory temperature check, mask wearing at all times and floor markings to ensure six feet of physical distancing.
