TODAY: Governor Newsom to Visit Vaccination Site in Kern County

KERN COUNTY – Following his visits to vaccination sites in San Diego and San Bernardino counties earlier today, Governor Gavin Newsom will hold a media availability at a vaccination site in Kern County this afternoon to encourage eligible Californians to get vaccinated.

Governor Newsom received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine yesterday as Californians aged 50+ became eligible to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Individuals 16+ will be eligible to receive a vaccine starting on April 15.

The visit will not be live streamed.

**NOTE: Due to space restrictions and to adhere to physical distancing requirements, there will be a limited number of spaces for credentialed media to attend the indoor event.

On-site protocols include a mandatory temperature check, mask wearing at all times and floor markings to ensure six feet of physical distancing.
