SACRAMENTO – In the wake of Texas’ anti-abortion law going into effect, Governor Gavin Newsom will today sign legislation to support access to reproductive health care services and protect patients and providers in a virtual signing ceremony joined by legislative leaders and advocates.
The action comes as a coalition of reproductive rights and justice organizations in California today launch the California Future of Abortion Council, which will work with policy makers, providers and other stakeholders on recommendations to further build on California’s leadership and expand access to reproductive health care for Californians and those from out of state seeking services here.
