LOS ANGELES – Governor Gavin Newsom will join Port Envoy to the Biden-Harris Administration Supply Chain Disruptions Task Force John D. Porcari, legislators and local officials tomorrow in Los Angeles to highlight the ongoing state and federal efforts to address port congestion and keep goods moving amid global supply chain disruptions.

The Governor last month issued an executive order that directs state agencies to help identify additional ways to alleviate congestion at California ports and announced a state-federal partnership to help kick-start infrastructure projects designed to improve the capacity and resiliency of the goods movement chain. Earlier this year, the California State Transportation Agency and Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development began engaging with supply chain stakeholders to discuss key challenges and identify short-term and long-term solutions.
