Governor Newsom issues legislative update 7.18.24

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

  • AB 295 by Assemblymember Josh Lowenthal (D-Long Beach) – Residential real property: foreclosure.
  • AB 1796 by Assemblymember Juan Alanis (R-Modesto) – Pupil instruction: course offerings: parental notification.
  • AB 1854 by Assemblymember Pilar Schiavo (D-Chatsworth) – Service member protections.
  • AB 1929 by Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D-Inglewood) – Career technical education: data collection.
  • AB 1982 by Assemblymember Devon Mathis (R-Porterville) – Firearm safety certificate: exemptions.
  • AB 2011 by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D-Orinda) – Unlawful employment practices: small employer family leave mediation program: reproductive loss leave.
