Governor Newsom issues legislative update 8.19.24

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

AB 2948 by Assemblymember James C. Ramos (D-Highland) – Adoption Assistance Program: tribal court order.
AB 3010 by Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D-Orinda) – Pupil instruction: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotional regulation.
SB 956 by Senator Dave Cortese (D-San Jose) – School facilities: design-build contracts.
SB 985 by Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh (R-Yucaipa) – Check Sellers, Bill Payers and Proraters Law: exemption: nonprofit community service organizations.
SB 1005 by Senator Angelique Ashby (D-Sacramento) – Juveniles.
