Governor Newsom signs legislation 8.26.24

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

  • AB 453 by Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes (D-Riverside) – District-based elections.                                          
  • AB 1849 by Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D-Concord) – Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act: services and repairs: travel trailers and motor homes.            
  • AB 1861 by Assemblymember Dawn Addis (D-Morro Bay) –Pest control: Pierce’s disease.             
  • AB 1966 by Assemblymember Laurie Davies (R-Laguna Niguel) – Human trafficking: notice: primary ticket sellers.            
  • AB 1996 by Assemblymember Juan Alanis (R-Modesto) – Opioid antagonists: stadiums, concert venues, and amusement parks: overdose training.     
  • AB 2556 by Assemblymember Dr. Corey Jackson (D-Moreno Valley) – Behavioral health and wellness screenings: notice.    
  • AB 2631 by Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra) – Local agencies: ethics training.             
  • AB 2756 by Assemblymember Tasha Boerner (D-Encinitas) – Pelvic Floor and Core Conditioning Pilot Program.
