Governor Newsom issues legislative update 9.14.24

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

  • AB 310 by Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) – State Department of State Hospitals: civil service psychiatrists.
  • AB 1855 by Assemblymember Dr. Joaquin Arambula (D-Fresno) – Open meetings: teleconferences: community college student body associations and student-run organizations.
  • AB 1906 by Assemblymember Mike Gipson (D-Carson) – California Law Revision Commission: persons with disabilities: terminology.
  • AB 1983 by Assemblymember Brian Maienschein (D-San Diego) – Income taxes: voluntary contributions: Prevention of Animal Homelessness and Cruelty Voluntary Tax Contribution Fund.
  • AB 2371 by Assemblymember Juan Carrillo (D-Palmdale) – Electrified security fences.
