Governor Newsom honors fallen West Sacramento Firefighter

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today issued the following statement regarding the death of West Sacramento Fire Department Fire Engineer Timothy Hall:

“Jennifer and I send our deepest sympathies to Fire Engineer Hall’s loved ones, colleagues and everyone mourning this painful loss. His dedication to serving and protecting his community will always be remembered.”

Governor Gavin Newsom

Engineer Hall, 59, passed away on September 23, 2024 in the line of duty during a training exercise.
 
Engineer Hall was an 18-year veteran of the West Sacramento Fire Department. He was a graduate of the 2006 Sacramento Regional Fire Academy.
 
He is survived by his wife, his children and his parents.
 
In honor of Engineer Hall, flags at the State Capitol and Capitol Annex Swing Space will be flown at half-staff.
