TODAY: Governor Newsom to Offer State Assistance to TSA Agents and Other Shutdown Workers at Sacramento Airport

SACRAMENTO — Governor Gavin Newsom will meet with and offer state assistance to Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees and other workers impacted by the federal government shutdown at the Sacramento International Airport this afternoon.

Previously, Governor Newsom announced that the California Employment Development Department will provide unemployment insurance benefits to federal workers in the state who have been furloughed or are being forced to work without pay due to the ongoing government shutdown.
