TOMORROW: Governor Gavin Newsom Heads to Central Valley to Sign Bill to Create Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund

SANGER – Tomorrow morning, Wednesday, July 24, Governor Gavin Newsom will visit the community of Tombstone to sign SB 200, authored by Senator Bill Monning (D-Carmel), which creates the Safe and Affordable Drinking Water Fund. He will talk with families and members of the community who lack access to safe drinking water.

Approximately 1 million Californians lack access to safe drinking water, and some schools have shut down drinking fountains due to contamination. SB 200 creates a funding solution by allocating up to $130 million per year to safe drinking water projects.
