GLASS FIRE — Governor Gavin Newsom will survey damage caused by the Glass Fire and meet with community members and local leaders today impacted by the wildfires. He will also hold a pooled press gaggle.

California has taken major action and made critical investments to fortify wildfire preparedness and response capabilities since Governor Newsom took office. Earlier this week, the Governor signed legislation to bolster the state’s wildfire preparedness and response efforts and to protect high-risk communities. With another dangerous wildfire season underway, the state is hiring 858 more firefighters and six California Conservation Corps crews to bolster firefighting support.
