Governor Newsom signs legislation 8.20.2026

SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced that he has signed the following bills:

  • AB 2153 by Assemblymember Marc Berman (D-Menlo Park) — Voter registration: residency confirmation.
  • AB 2323 by Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (D-Inglewood) — Publication: newspapers of general circulation.
  • SB 1429 by the Committee on Elections and Constitutional Amendments  — Elections.
  • SB 1430 by the Committee on Elections and Constitutional Amendments — Elections.
